Should you have a secondary backup photographer for your wedding ceremony?

When you hire a wedding photographer to cover your pre-wedding as well as a marriage photoshoot, you should think about having a secondary backup photographer. If you hire one of the top wedding photographers in Goa, then you do not have to worry as they always come with a secondary photographer in tow in case something goes wrong with the main photographer. However, if you don’t have the moolah to hire the services of one of the best candid weddingphotographers in Goa, then we suggest that you should think very seriously about having a secondary backup photographer who can cover the ceremony in case something goes wrong with the original photographer (illness, accident or any other natural causes).

One thing that you need to keep in mind when trying to hire the services of a backup photographer is that you should not go for one of the best wedding photographers in Udaipur or any other city where you live. The reason being, their charges are pretty steep and they will never like to be a secondary photographer as it will hurt their reputation in the market.

1). There are many people who have a huge interest in photography and they like to pursue it as a secondary profession. As such people are more interested in gaining experience, they keep their charges at a minimum and take this opportunity to gain more experience in improving their photography skills.

2). Once you have hired the backup photographer, do not give in to the temptation of using him/her as your main photographer. The reason being, in a profession such as photography, skills and experience matters a lot. And both can be attained only after practising your art for a long period of time. Therefore, if you use the services of your backup photographer as your main photographer, then you will find that the quality of the work they have produced is not up to the mark.

3). To find a good backup photographer, you can ask for recommendations from your friends, and relatives. A secondary photographer may be already engaged in a steady job and want to supplement his or her income by doing something extra on the side. It is not at all difficult to find a secondary photographer who does not ask for the Earth for their services. Make sure to thrash out the terms of the contract well in advance and what is his role if the main photographer is there or if he is absent. This will ensure that both of you are on the same page and there is no misunderstanding between you two.

If you follow these tips, then you can get a good quality secondary photographer who can cover your wedding ceremony if something goes wrong with the main photographer whom you have contracted to take photos of the most important day in your life. While it is not necessary to have a secondary photographer, but if you have the money, then we suggest that as insurance you should keep the backup photographer ready in case of any emergency.
